Nepal uses the "Nepalese Rupee” as their medium of exchange and trade, and it’s used all over the country. Nepal is the only country that uses this currency. One US dollar is equivalent to 103.41 Nepalese Rupee.

The official language of the Nepalians is Nepali. However, there are about 123 other languages in Nepal spoken as a mother tongue. Maithili is the second widely spoken language in the country, while Bhojpuri and Tharu come next as the third and fourth widely spoken languages respectively.
Visa Information
Nepal tourist visas can be obtained at any Nepal Consulate outside the country. However, nationals of most countries in the world are allowed the option of obtaining their visas on arrival at the international airports. All foreign tourist visiting Nepal must obtain a visa to gain entry into the country; India been the only exception. Nepal allows tourist visa holders to do business in the country for up to 30 days. Depending on the category of visa you choose, visas are valid for a period of 15, 30, or 90 days. Nepal tourist visa fee is placed at US$25 for a 15-day stay in the country, US$40 for a 30-day stay in the country, and US$100 for a 100-day stay. Multiple entries will attract £20, £35, and £75 for 15, 30, and 90 days respectively.
Tourists will be required to present the following details and documents when filing a visa application:
1. A completed and signed visa application.
2. A valid passport that will remain valid for 6 months at least.
3. A recent passport-size photograph.
Getting There
Located east of Kathmandu, Nepal’s only international airport, Tribhuvan International Airport welcomes flight from all over the globe. Directs flights from the US, Australia, Europe, and other parts of Asia arrive the airport on a daily basis, bringing in swarms of tourists and adventurers into Nepal. 
You have to be in either Tibet or India to enter Nepal by land. The most preferred crossing point from India is at Belahiya. Other crossing routes are through Birganj to Raxaul Bazar, Dhangadi to Gauriphanta, Kakarbhitta to Panitanki, and from Bhimdatta to Banbasa. 
There are no options for tourist to enter the country by sea.

Peak Travel Periods
Tourists can extend their stay in Nepal to a maximum of 150 days in a year. Every season in Nepal has its own wonderful experience to share but what better time to visit the spectacles of Nepal than when the skies are all clear and blue? This is usually from December through to February. January and February are cold months, March and April are dry, and October to December has a clear weather. October to November presents the best weather conditions for Mountain peak climbing.
