Located in the area between Paseo de la Reforma and Mahatma Gandhi Street within the Chapultepec Park in Mexico City, the National Anthropology and History Museum of Mexico City is considered the most important site for archaeological and anthropological artifacts from Mexico’s Pre-Hispanic heritage.
The famous "Stone of the Sun" (popularly known as the "Aztec Calendar Stone") and the "Aztec Xochipilli" statue lie within this walls and, contrary to most museums, you are allowed to take pictures!
Your tour guide will be waiting at the main entrance of the museum at 10:00 am. Please remember to be early to meet with the group accordingly.
You could spend a whole day in the museum and still not see everything it offers. However, this visit will focus on the permanent exhibitions on the ground floor which cover all the pre-Columbian civilizations located on the current territory of Mexico as well as in former Mexican territory in what is today the southwestern United States.
