You can't say you've been in Ecuador if you don't go to the very first monument that represented the Equator line!
This tour will allow you to take that selfie you were for in the Monument and also experiment some of the weird things that happen only here, like being able to balance an egg on top of the nail or looking at water run in different directions after flushing?
Yes, at the Middle of the World Complex you will have time to do all of this PLUS go to a chocolate factory or learn how Quito became the very first city in Latin America to adopt beer!
This tour runs in the afternoon at 2:15 PM.
You will be picked up at Galeria Ecuador, a shop where you can find all sort of handcrafted local products and learn about the process of chocolate production (so get there early before the tours starts).
After picking you up in our traditional trolley, we will head North to the Middle of the World Monument complex. This monument was built during the XVII century when a French Expedition defined the precise location of the equatorial line. On our way to this place, our tour guide will explain how and why this monument was built and how the geographic position of this country has had an effect on the politics, culture and history of Ecuadorians.
The tour includes an all-inclusive entrance to Middle of the World complex so that you can not only take a picture but also fully enjoy the rest of museums, attractions and cultural experiences of this privileged place.
